An added comment from our supporting Neurologist, Dr. Steve Kirk
It used to be argued that the plasticity of the human brain diminished to essentially zero, in other words became completely set, by the time we were adults. This theory has been absolutely turned on its head by the progressive, continuous research of neuroscientists and the continuous plasticity of the human brain deep into adulthood has shown itself time and time again in modern medicine. But the plasticity of the newborn/infant/child’s brain has never been in question. The migration of the cells into their final position that make up the human brain continue to migrate to that position after we are born. Those connections that determine the very way we think, and therefore who we essentially are as a person, are still being formed at the most fundamental level AFTER we are born.
