One of the happiest days of my life: The day they told us we could take our twin boys home, I felt as though I had won the lottery. My heart was pounding so hard, and I had to force myself to eat. I was just so excited, I was crying one minute and jumping for joy the next.
The hospital offered us a night stay, in a private room, with our boys, for 24 hours, before taking them home, but we declined. We were just so ready to have them home. It has been 1 ½ weeks that we have been apart from them, being at home, and having them in the hospital. Even though my husband and I both have spent at least 7- 12 hours a day at the hospital with them, it will be so different and wonderful to have them at home 24/7. At the hospital, we always had other babies, parents, nurses and doctors around us. Now it will be just us, our toddler and the twins at home.
To all our family and friends who have supported us, thank you! Our twins are home, but we still ask for prayers as they continue to grow strong being that they were born so early.
Beth! That photo is seriously the sweetest thing 🙂 I’m so glad to know they are healthy and finally home. You guys have been in my prayers. Congratulations again!!!
