Recently we had our annual GNO, girls night out, in Highland Park, with our mommy group. We started with dinner, which included a white elephant gift exchange, then we headed across the street for a horse drawn carriage ride.
We took the well-known scenic route through Hig
hland Park for looking at Christmas lights.
In addition to blankets, warm hot chocolate and glühwein helped to keep us all warm.
We were told that one of the houses, on the tour, had a 3 story underground. Maybe it was the house that had secret service sitting infront???
The picture above, to the right, is nice showing one of the carriages but also random/funny with some guy walking by?? That was where the carriages picked up for the start of the tour.
It’s been two years now that we’ve been with this group of girls as a mommy group.
They are all so fun, sweet, and caring….we just love them!!! The white elephant gift exchange was a hoot!!!!
White elephant exchanges are always a lot of fun but especially with this group of girls. I do feel a bit guilty for stealing a great pair of monkey slippers, sorry Angela, but I do wear them everyday. (click here for culture differences: why nobody should wear street shoes inside). Everytime I look down at my monkey slippers, I have a happy warm feeling thinking of our fun GNOJ
