After driving north of Dallas, in hopes of seeing the Great Conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn better, we thought to stop and look at some Christmas lights in the area. The Holiday Displays & Christmas Lights in Frisco, Tx were unreal.

#1 Burkman Holiday Home
The Burkman Holiday Home is amazing. Glowing with more than 70,000 lights, there is a train village with 400 pieces, selfie stations even for puppies, a mailbox to post letters to Santa and so much more. They pass out candy canes and other goodies to kids. Cool Fact: They hot glue around 10,000 light gumdrops on to the house, wow!

This would have been the first year that we haven’t had Santa pics so I was pleasantly surprised to see a Santa photo station.
I only waited 12 seconds for that pic as well. That’s probably a record-breaking Santa photo wait time for us!
Who knew that I would score such an awesome Santa pic in the crazy 2020 year!
The reason for creating this wonderful holiday home is so sweet. In brief, when the homeowners discovered that one of their children on the autism spectrum was infatuated with holiday lights, they began their own journey into a love for holiday lights extravaganza.

Now, in addition to being on a reality show, Great Christmas Light Fight episodes and a TV debut on Live with Kelly and Ryan talk show, this family’s love for lights serves other families in need.
Cost: Free but gift cards and monetary donations given will go to support family services at Hackberry Elementary school and to families with special-needs children. Location: 3809 Hazelhurst Drive, Frisco; Open: Every night until December 31st, 6 – 11 pm

Note Walk-thru: Yes it was extremely crowded early in the evening. As the night went on, closer to 8:30/9 pm social distancing outside was much easier.
Drive-by: The line of cars to drive-by was not bad. Even early in the evening, it was just a 20-minute wait.

#2 Historic Homes, The Rail District, Frisco
This is another favorite stop of ours. We went closer to 8:30 pm and we were THE ONLY people walking around. It’s great to view via drive-by but the walk-thru experience was even more amazing.
As we were standing in front of the house, one of the homeowners was pulling up to park. They told me that I was welcome to walk around the house to view the decorations up close. All visitors are welcome to walk around. We did and it was absolutely holiday sweetness!
Location: Drive to the corner of Walnut and 4th street. You will see a street with several historic homes glowing with lights, holiday displays, Christmas villages, and more.

#4 Christmas in the Square
We drove through Frisco’s square two times because it was so enjoyable. The whole square had just under 200,000 lights and is choreographed to music. You can listen to music on 107.3 FM. The light and music extravaganza is choreographed by Frisco’s own Jeff Trykoski (Illumimax, LLC). The music is also playing in the square. We listened to the music from our car radio as well as echoing from outside our car in the square. Seeing the lights moving with the music was really cool.
There is also a Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, a Christmas tree lot, and the Merry Main Street Holiday Market. We just did the drive-by music and lights.
Location: Simpson Plaza at City Hall, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., Frisco, Texas Open: Daily until January 4, 2021; 6-10pm. Cost: Free; Ages: All Ages

#5 Myrtle Lane
The street on Myrtle Lane is nice. There are several homes that have decorated. It wasn’t crowded at all when we drove by. There is a Clark Griswold Light covered house, a house with changing displays and motion that is quite different. Also, look for Buddy the Elf.
Location: 5913 Myrtle Lane, several houses on this street; Open daily until Christmas Eve.

#6 Radiance
Radiance is open in three different locations. Frisco, Decatur and Weatherford. There are 2 million lights animated to the tunes of holiday classics.

We didn’t drive-thru Radiance or the Little Elm Beach Holiday Experience. We didn’t want to pay for viewing holiday lights, especially when so many families and individuals go to so much trouble and expense to create personalized home holiday displays. However, just in passing, both looked pretty spectacular.
