Eventhough it has been several weeks since the shooting in Aurora, Colorado, leaving 12 dead and over 70 wounded within minutes, we still feel the shock and great sadness within our hearts. This tragedy is now noted as the largest mass shooting in U.S. history. It’s events like this that have me struggle with God’s mercy. Especially now, as a parent, I can’t imagine what I would do if my child had been harmed or killed in such a tragic way. And it just leaves me dumbfounded as to the ability of a person to hurt so many innocent. Turning to scripture, we turn to Psalm 23:4 at this time.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and families hurting from this tradegy.
